cosplay dorkin'

Hahaha, I suck. I just wanted to show off the fact that, against all odds, I found the perfect ear cuffs for Hakkai's youkai power limiters.



Messed with my hair in a vain attempt to look more in-character. Too bad Hakkai isn't a bleach-blonde tart. I'll cut and dye it closer to con. Now all I need (other than to finish sewing) is to figure out how to do his damned monocle. I looked for wire but everything's too thin. Any suggestions?

Um... get an old pair of glasses from a thrift store and bust 'em in half?

That's what I was thinkin', but I've been having a hard time finding ones that are metal frames, and the right shape. Then again, I've only looked at Value Village. Is anywhere else good?

I don't know, just do the rounds maybe.

Did you try looking for heavier wire in a hardware store?

I don't know what shape they are, but if they're just a round monocle, try finding a pair of those hippy glasses. Or, because those are often tinted, a pair of Harry Potter glasses. As for where those could be found... *shrugs*.

You're going to look awesome. ^^ And even if I'm not actually cosplaying, know I'll be your Gojyo in spirit. :P Doubly so if I get to make wife jokes at inopportune times. XD
